Batavia Software Design (BSD) is owned and operated by Stephan de Lange, BSc who emigrated from the UK to Canada in 2009.
Stephan (pronounced stay-von) graduated from a Dutch University in 1996 (HTS), having spent his final six months in the UK, which consisted of  industrial experience (​apprenticeship).
Having spent his whole life in the technical sector, designing and developing high-tech and automated machinery, as well as consumer products, Stephan still loves his job and takes pride in his high quality and reliable work.

  • Cooling ring inspection for Rolls Royce UK jet aircraft engines.
  • Motorcycle suspension damper development for BMW using ER fluids.
  • Food safety inspection systems for Tyson Foods USA.
  • Development of a smart tactile display for the visual impaired and blind for the ​European Commission (EC).
  • High speed Label Appllicators for the lumber industry (Resolute FP, Tolko Industries, West Fraser and more)
